In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ring-buffer: Initialise reader page order in rb_allocate_cpu_buffer() In… (CVE-2026-74602)CVE-2026-74602 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel ring-buffer implementation was resolved by properly initializing the reader page order in the rb_allocate_cpu_buffer() function. The issue involved the omission of setting bpage->order, which remained zero incorrectly. This could cause problems when freeing buffer pages if the sub-buffer size exceeded the system page size, as free_buffer_page() depends on the correct order value. The fix aligns the order value with the actual allocation size to prevent potential memory management issues.
