CVE-2024-43851 addresses a Linux kernel issue in the Xilinx SoC driver where a per-CPU variable named cpu_number1 was incorrectly used, causing a kernel BUG when CONFIG_DEBUG_ATOMIC_SLEEP is enabled. The variable was renamed to dummy_cpu_number and its initialization dropped to fix a call trace involving a sleeping function called from an invalid context.
