A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's NTFS3 filesystem driver was resolved involving improper validation of the dirty page table during log replay. The issue arises because the length of the page_lcns[] array in each DIR_PAGE_ENTRY is not properly checked against its declared size, allowing out-of-bounds memory operations during conversion and replay. A new validation check was added to ensure the array size matches its allocation, preventing overflow. Additional bounds checks for log record indices are handled separately.
