In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xsk: clear metadata pointer when no timestamp is requested User space can change… (CVE-2026-74709)CVE-2026-74709 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel related to xsk metadata handling has been resolved. The issue allowed user space to change metadata flags after request processing, potentially causing the kernel to write a timestamp that was not requested. The fix clears the metadata pointer during request processing unless a timestamp completion is requested, preventing unintended timestamp writes. This vulnerability affects the handling of multi-packet WQE paths and zero-copy paths differently but is addressed by resetting pointers appropriately.
