0 A vulnerability in the @backstage/plugin-catalog-backend-module-gitlab prior to version 0.8.7 allows improper authorization during GitLab organizational user ingestion. This can result in an unintended catalog identity being admitted, potentially granting unauthorized access with the permissions of a standard authenticated user. The issue affects deployments that enable GitLab organization event ingestion and use scoped catalog users as an access boundary. A fix is available in version 0.8.7.
