0

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's IPv4 TCP stack allowed invalid negative values to be written to the tcp_reordering sysctl parameter, which is stored as an int but used as an unsigned 32-bit value internally. This could cause integer wraparound leading to out-of-bounds reads during MTU probing when tcp_mtu_probing is set to 2. The issue was fixed by validating sysctl inputs to ensure they are at least 1 and hardening the tcp_mtu_probe function against signed integer overflow.
