compliance-trestle has an URLSecurityValidator SSRF allowlist bypass via IPv4-mapped IPv6 and 0.0.0.0 (CVE-2026-52776)CVE-2026-52776
0

compliance-trestle versions up to 4.0.3 contain a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) allowlist bypass in the URLSecurityValidator component. The validator intended to block requests to loopback, link-local, and cloud metadata endpoints but fails to properly handle IPv4-mapped IPv6 addresses and the IPv4 unspecified address 0.0.0.0. This allows attackers who can supply malicious OSCAL artifacts to bypass protections and cause the software to fetch internal or cloud metadata URLs that should be blocked.
