A vulnerability in the Linux kernel Bluetooth btnxpuart driver was resolved. The flaw involved improper validation of the firmware dump header length in the nxp_process_fw_dump() function, which could lead to reading beyond the received data. This could cause the driver to prematurely terminate a firmware dump and reset the controller. The issue was addressed by validating and pulling the firmware dump header before accessing its fields, rejecting truncated headers.
