A null pointer dereference vulnerability in the Linux kernel SCTP implementation was resolved. The flaw occurs when completing an untransmitted stream reconfiguration (RECONF) request, leading to a NULL dereference in the timer deletion function. This can cause a kernel panic triggered by an unprivileged process removing the last address of an association and then requesting a stream reset. The issue affects SCTP stream reset completion functions that do not properly check for a NULL transport pointer before dereferencing it.
