GHSA-h672-p7h7-97v9: Rattler vulnerable to package cache path traversal via conda package build stringCVE-2026-53956 0 The rattler_cache and py-rattler packages are vulnerable to a path traversal issue in their package cache handling. This occurs when malicious or untrusted conda channels provide package metadata with specially crafted build strings containing path traversal characters. This can cause package contents to be written outside the intended cache directory. The vulnerability requires use of untrusted channels, as curated channels validate metadata to prevent such malformed build strings. Users should upgrade to patched versions and avoid untrusted channels. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 07/09/2026, 23:20:12 UTC Added: 07/10/2026, 09:24:12 UTC |
