CVE-2024-47665 is a medium severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel's i3c mipi-i3c-hci driver. The issue involves the use of BUG_ON() during IBI DMA setup when dma_get_cache_alignment exceeds 256, which is not a valid reason to trigger a kernel bug. This has been corrected to gracefully return an error (-EINVAL) instead of causing a kernel panic.
