A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Smack security module allows previously used DOI values written to /smack/doi to disable networking for non-ambient labels. This occurs because Smack retains decommissioned DOI values and fails to re-add them properly, causing the refusal to add the default domain map and resulting in network failures. The issue is fixed by clearing old DOI definitions and serializing DOI updates with a new lock, allowing /smack/doi to be unconfigured safely and ensuring proper map updates.
