A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's USB gadget audio driver (u_audio) was resolved. The flaw occurs when the sound card disconnects and the underlying context is freed prematurely while user-space ALSA control elements remain open. This leads to potential memory corruption when user-space applications access these controls after the structure has been freed. The fix defers freeing the context until all references to the sound card are released. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 09/11/2026, 21:31:38 UTC Added: 09/12/2026, 00:42:34 UTC |
