In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs: fix off-by-one in mapping pairs decoding bounds checks In… (CVE-2026-72210)CVE-2026-72210 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's NTFS driver was fixed to correct an off-by-one error in bounds checking during mapping pairs decoding. The flaw allowed a one-byte out-of-bounds read when data extended exactly to the attribute boundary due to improper use of strict greater-than checks. The fix changes these checks to greater-than-or-equal to prevent reading beyond valid memory. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 08/15/2026, 06:32:16 UTC Added: 08/15/2026, 15:53:23 UTC |
