CVE-2024-42124 is a vulnerability in the Linux kernel's qedf driver where the function qedf_execute_tmf() was preemptible and called smp_processor_id(), which is unsafe in preemptible code. This caused a BUG_ON() error when running real-time (RT) kernels. The issue has been resolved by making qedf_execute_tmf() non-preemptible.
