A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's drm/amd/display component was resolved by replacing krealloc() with krealloc_array() in the dal_vector_reserve() function. The original code used uint32_t arithmetic to compute allocation size, which could overflow silently and cause krealloc to allocate a smaller buffer than expected. This led to heap overflows during subsequent vector appends. The fix introduces an internal overflow check that prevents this issue by returning NULL on overflow.
