In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs: detect mapping-pairs LCN accumulator overflow The NTFS mapping-pairs… (CVE-2026-72200)CVE-2026-72200 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's NTFS mapping-pairs parser allows a signed integer overflow when accumulating relative Logical Cluster Number (LCN) deltas. This occurs because the parser uses a signed integer to accumulate these deltas, and a corrupted attribute can cause the addition to exceed the maximum representable value, leading to undefined behavior. The flaw can cause an invalid runlist to be interpreted as a different set of physical clusters. This vulnerability has been resolved by adding a check for overflow before storing the next run.
