In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: fix deadlock cloning inline extent when using flushoncommit In commit… (CVE-2026-74318)CVE-2026-74318 0 A deadlock vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Btrfs filesystem was fixed. The issue occurred when cloning inline extents with the flushoncommit mount option, causing a deadlock during reflink and transaction commit operations. The initial fix addressed only the case where the destination offset was zero, missing cases with offsets greater than zero. This vulnerability could cause kernel tasks to block indefinitely, impacting system stability. The fix ensures proper i_size updates when copying inline extent data to the destination file, preventing the deadlock.
