GHSA-jhr3-25h7-qp3mCVE-2026-53169
0

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ethosu driver allows unprivileged users with access to the DRM device to cause unbounded kernel log spam and potentially trigger a kernel panic if panic_on_warn is enabled. This occurs because the driver does not properly handle the NPU_OP_RESIZE command, which is unimplemented for U85 hardware. Instead of rejecting the command, the driver triggers a WARN_ON(1) that can lead to denial-of-service. The issue has been resolved by replacing the WARN_ON(1) with an explicit error return to prevent the command from reaching hardware.
