A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's gpu host1x driver was resolved by correcting the error handling in the iommu_map_sgtable() function. The function was changed to return a signed ssize_t with negative values indicating errors, instead of an unsigned size_t with zero. Additionally, the pin_job() function was updated to properly check for these error returns, fixing an issue where incorrect type assignment could cause overflow and misinterpretation of error conditions.
