GHSA-m26v-hjq3-x245: Duplicate Advisory: uutils coreutils has a Time-of-Check to Time-of-Use (TOCTOU) race condition 0 A Time-of-Check to Time-of-Use (TOCTOU) race condition exists in the install utility of uutils coreutils when using the -D flag. The vulnerability arises because the command creates parent directories and then performs a second path resolution to create the target file without anchoring these operations to a directory file descriptor. This allows an attacker with concurrent write access to replace a path component with a symbolic link between these operations, potentially redirecting privileged writes to arbitrary filesystem locations.
