A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's HID wacom driver was resolved by changing memory allocation from GFP_KERNEL to GFP_ATOMIC in the wacom_wac_queue_flush() function. The issue arose because wacom_wac_queue_flush() is called in an atomic context where sleeping is not allowed, but GFP_KERNEL allocations can sleep, causing a 'scheduling while atomic' bug. The fix ensures safe memory allocation in this context by using GFP_ATOMIC, preventing potential kernel stability issues.
