In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: staging: rtl8723bs: fix OOB write in HT_caps_handler() HT_caps_handler()… (CVE-2026-64440)CVE-2026-64440 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's rtl8723bs staging driver allowed an out-of-bounds write in the HT_caps_handler() function. This occurred because the function iterated over a length field from an 802.11 AssocResponse frame without validating its size, potentially writing beyond a fixed 26-byte array. The issue was fixed by truncating the iteration count to prevent out-of-bounds writes while maintaining compatibility with access points that pad the HT Capabilities element.
