In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: bnep: pin L2CAP connection during netdev registration… (CVE-2026-64408)CVE-2026-64408 0 A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel Bluetooth subsystem (bnep) was resolved. The issue occurs because the bnep_add_connection() function reads the L2CAP connection without holding the channel lock and passes its HCI device to register_netdev(). Concurrent controller teardown can free the connection, causing register_netdev() to dereference a freed parent device. The fix involves taking a reference to the L2CAP connection while holding the channel lock and retaining it until register_netdev() completes.
