In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: udf: validate free block extents against the partition length udf_free_blocks()… (CVE-2026-64324)CVE-2026-64324 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's UDF filesystem code allows a crafted filesystem extent to bypass boundary checks, leading to an out-of-bounds read and kernel panic. This issue arises from improper validation of free block extents against the partition length in udf_free_blocks(). Local users with the ability to mount UDF media and truncate files can trigger a denial of service by causing the kernel to panic. There is no impact on confidentiality or integrity. The vulnerability is resolved by correcting the boundary checks and adding validation to prevent out-of-range bitmap indexing.
