Specifically, the functions igmp_mod_timer() and igmp_stop_timer() decrement reference counts incorrectly when called from certain RCU reader paths, potentially leaking memory. The issue arises when a multicast group entry's reference count reaches zero but the object is not freed, leading to resource leakage. This vulnerability has been resolved by changing the reference count decrement to a proper release function and deferring the release until after releasing a spinlock.
