The issue involved a failure to free a command tag on the task-management request (TMR) submit-failure path, causing a resource leak. This leak could be triggered by a pvSCSI guest issuing abort or reset requests when target_submit_tmr() fails, potentially stopping the affected LUN. The flaw was due to improper handling of command tags and memory freeing, risking resource exhaustion or denial of service.
