A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's dm-pcache component allowed a crafted last-kset chain to create an infinite loop during cache replay. This was due to the replay function following the chain without a condition to reschedule, enabling a cycle in the chain to cause endless traversal. The issue has been resolved by limiting the number of hops to the number of segments, ensuring each segment is visited at most once.
