In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: SOF: ipc4-control: Fix TOCTOU in sof_ipc4_bytes_put In… (CVE-2026-72304)CVE-2026-72304 0 A time-of-check to time-of-use (TOCTOU) vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ASoC SOF ipc4-control component was fixed. The flaw involved incorrect handling of copy size in sof_ipc4_bytes_put(), where the size used was from old buffer data rather than the incoming new data, potentially causing truncation or stale data copying. The fix validates and uses the incoming data size before copying. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 08/15/2026, 06:32:19 UTC Added: 08/15/2026, 15:53:21 UTC |
