A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's drm/xe/pt driver allowed invalid cursor access for purged buffer objects (BOs) during page table walks. The issue arose because certain functions did not check if a BO was purged before accessing an uninitialized cursor, potentially causing warnings or errors. The flaw was fixed by adding explicit checks for purged BOs and zero-initializing the cursor to prevent invalid accesses.
