0

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's device mapper (dm-era) component allowed out-of-bounds memory access when handling tables with a non-zero start sector. This was due to incorrect calculation of the writeset block before applying the target offset, causing memory access beyond the allocated bitset. The issue has been resolved by correcting the calculation order to apply the target offset first.
