A vulnerability in crun allows terminal setup to redirect /dev/console to an attacker-controlled path if the container configuration does not mount /dev separately. This affects crun versions 1.29.1 and earlier. Default configurations that mount a fresh /dev are not vulnerable. No fixed release is currently available. Exploitation requires a container configuration without a dedicated /dev mount and a malicious container image. Supported Red Hat container tooling mounts /dev by default and is not affected in supported configurations.
