0

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's memstick driver allowed a Memory Stick card reporting an excessive number of blocks to cause out-of-bounds writes. This was due to the driver computing zone counts from the card's block count without proper bounds checking, leading to potential memory corruption. The issue has been resolved by rejecting cards that report more blocks than the maximum supported zones multiplied by blocks per zone.
