In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: sun4i-ss - Remove insecure and unused rng_alg Remove sun4i_ss_rng, as it… (CVE-2026-74438)CVE-2026-74438 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's sun4i-ss cryptographic module involved an insecure and unused random number generator algorithm (rng_alg). The vulnerable code had multiple issues including a missing lock causing a buffer overflow and improper random byte generation. Since this code is unused and no userspace applications rely on it, the Linux kernel developers removed the entire sun4i_ss_rng code to resolve the vulnerabilities.
