In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_conncount: prevent connlimit drops for early confirmed ct Commit… (CVE-2026-72418)CVE-2026-72418 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's netfilter nf_conncount module caused valid connections to be falsely dropped when using connection limiting (connlimit) in soft-limiting scenarios. The issue arose from a regression where connections reusing sockets in the TIME_WAIT state were miscounted, leading to incorrect connection drops. This was fixed by changing the connection tracking logic to properly handle early-confirmed connections without dropping valid packets.
