In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ip6_tunnel: require CAP_NET_ADMIN in the device netns for changelink… (CVE-2026-72051)CVE-2026-72051 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's IPv6 tunnel implementation (ip6_tunnel) allowed a caller with CAP_NET_ADMIN capability in one network namespace to modify tunnel devices in another network namespace without proper authorization. This was due to insufficient capability checks in the ip6_tnl_changelink() function. The issue has been resolved by enforcing CAP_NET_ADMIN checks in the correct network namespace before processing changes.
