A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Ceph component related to MDSMap decoding has been resolved. The issue involved the handling of export_targets ranks that are greater than or equal to CEPH_MAX_MDS, which could cause out-of-bounds writes in a fixed stack bitmap. The fix rejects ranks outside the CEPH_MAX_MDS range during map decoding to prevent this issue. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 09/11/2026, 21:31:35 UTC Added: 09/12/2026, 00:42:43 UTC |
