RustDesk versions prior to 1.4.7 have a vulnerability in BytesCodec where the decoder speculatively allocates memory based on a length field in a frame header before authentication. This allows an attacker to request large memory allocations, potentially exhausting system memory and causing denial of service. The issue is fixed in version 1.4.7 by capping the speculative preallocation to 256 KiB.
