A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's nfsd4_ff_encode_layoutget function caused incorrect XDR buffer size calculations. This flaw could lead to out-of-bounds writes or leaking uninitialized kernel memory to clients. The issue arises from multiple errors in length calculations for file handle data, user and group ID strings, and other encoded fields. The vulnerability has been resolved by explicitly correcting the length calculations and using proper alignment functions.
