In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix NULL pointer dereference in bpf_task_from_vpid() bpf_task_from_vpid()… (CVE-2026-74335)CVE-2026-74335 0 A NULL pointer dereference vulnerability in the Linux kernel's bpf_task_from_vpid() function has been resolved. The issue occurs when cgroup_skb programs run in softirq context interrupt a task that is exiting, leading to a NULL pointer dereference in the kernel. This can cause a kernel crash (BUG) due to dereferencing a NULL pointer in the process of looking up a task's PID namespace. The fix involves bailing out when the current task has no PID namespace.
