The issue involves an underflow in the function bnxt_rx_multi_page_skb that can cause incorrect reference counting of page pool fragments. This may lead to premature recycling of pages still in use, potentially resulting in a double free during driver teardown. The bug was triggered by specific head adjustment scenarios in XDP and was fixed by adding an offset field to correctly compute fragment start addresses. The fix ensures the test case that previously crashed now completes successfully. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 08/15/2026, 06:32:27 UTC Added: 08/15/2026, 15:53:16 UTC |
