CVE-2024-41048 is a vulnerability in the Linux kernel's sk_msg_recvmsg function where zero-length socket buffers (skbs) are not properly handled. This leads to a kernel panic on Loongarch platforms due to a NULL pointer dereference when processing TCP FIN packets during BPF selftests. The issue arises because zero-length skbs are queued and later cause a NULL page to be passed to page_address(), triggering a fatal exception.
