A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's SCSI target subsystem involves improper handling of the t_task_cdb pointer when memory allocation fails. Specifically, if allocation of cmd->t_task_cdb fails, the pointer remains NULL but is later dereferenced in the error handling path, which can lead to a denial of service. The issue has been resolved by resetting the NULL pointer to a default fixed-size buffer in error cases.
