A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's network shaper component was resolved. The issue involved the net_shaper_nl_group_doit() function not properly deduplicating leaf handles in GROUP requests, leading to double freeing of parent pointers during cleanup. This could cause memory corruption or instability. The patch also fixed a related logic flaw where a return value was not set in certain code paths.
