A flaw was found in open-iscsi. (CVE-2026-18728)CVE-2026-18728 0 An integer underflow vulnerability exists in the open-iscsi iscsiuio component during IPv4 DHCP parsing. A remote attacker on the same local network segment can send a specially crafted IPv4/UDP DHCP reply to trigger an out-of-bounds read, causing the iscsiuio process to crash and resulting in a denial of service. This affects systems where iscsiuio handles IPv4 DHCP traffic. The vulnerability is rated moderate severity with a CVSS score of 6.5. Mitigation involves restricting network access to iscsiuio-managed interfaces and configuring firewall rules to limit DHCP traffic to trusted sources.
