CVE-2024-41068 is a medium severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel's s390 architecture support related to the sclp_init() function. The issue occurs when sclp_init() fails and only partially cleans up, causing the sclp_state_change_event to be added multiple times to the sclp_reg_list. This results in a kernel warning about a double list addition, which can lead to kernel instability or crashes. The flaw has been fixed by ensuring that sclp_state_change_event is removed from sclp_reg_list when sclp_init() fails.
