Local privilege escalation vulnerabilities exist in the Palo Alto Networks GlobalProtect app for Windows, macOS, and Linux. These vulnerabilities allow a local non-administrative user to escalate privileges to NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM on Windows or root on macOS and Linux, enabling execution of arbitrary commands with administrative rights. The GlobalProtect app on iOS, Android, and Chrome OS is not affected. No patch or remediation information is currently provided. There are no known exploits in the wild.
