CVE-2024-39282 is a vulnerability in the Linux kernel's net: wwan: t7xx driver where an asynchronous thread handling internal state change commands can panic due to a use-after-release of a completion object after a timeout. This causes a kernel panic with a page fault. The issue has been fixed by using a reference counter to ensure safe release of the completion object.
