A high-severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel's USB gadget function f_fs was fixed. The issue involved improper cleanup of a dma_fence object in error paths of the ffs_dmabuf_transfer() function. Specifically, dma_fence_put() was called on a fence object that had only been allocated but not fully initialized, leading to undefined behavior. The fix replaces dma_fence_put() with kfree() for proper cleanup in these error scenarios. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 09/17/2026, 18:32:11 UTC Added: 09/19/2026, 01:27:49 UTC |
