In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: x_tables: allocate hook ops while under mutex… (CVE-2026-64079)CVE-2026-64079 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel netfilter x_tables subsystem allowed a NULL pointer dereference due to a race condition during hook operations allocation under a mutex. This could cause a general protection fault during network namespace cleanup. The issue has been resolved by changing the allocation sequence to ensure valid operations are always present before the table is visible in the list and by synchronizing RCU callbacks on error.
